The body’s largest organ is the skin, and your skin may be challenged at times due to seasonal weather changes, lifestyle, and your genes.
While there are many skin care products and strategies that claim to maintain “the healthy life of one’s skin”, a necessary key to healthy skin is regular exfoliation. Exfoliating involves the use of a facial/body scrub, a washcloth or a loofah to help remove dead skin cells that are blocking dirt, causing skin irritation and keeping the skin from properly absorbing moisture. Exfoliating creates a smoother, more translucent glow and texture. For men, exfoliating also allows for a closer shave with less skin irritation. After exfoliating it is important to moisturize to balance the skin’s surface, alleviating a dull, dry, ashy, patchy texture and feeling.
Don’t skimp on skincare! You don’t have to spend a fortune to have beautiful skin, but you do have to make caring for your skin a daily priority if you want healthy looking skin for the long term.
Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing more skin care tips in future posts.
Until next time, remember ~ your beauty is my business.
